Viking Ships at Sunrise by Mary Pope Osborne. At the beginning of the book, it was 5 A.M. In this story, Jack and Annie went to ancient Ireland. In ancient Ireland, to make a book, they needed sheepskin, goose quills, earth and plants. They saw Vikings and monks. The Vikings came a little bit before Jack and Annie left. The monk (Brother Michael) did not get to finish his book because the Vikings came! The Vikings were mean. Jack and Annie got out in time.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett. I liked the story because it was silly. My favorite part was when they made new houses out of bread. I would like to have a little food come from the sky, like medium-sized pancakes, peas and mashed potatoes, and liquid, but not big things because we could get a hole in our ceiling!
The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling. I liked this book because John Midas loves chocolate like I do! In the story, John Midas bought a magical chocolate. Then, after he ate it, everything he ate tasted like chocolate. He was happy at first. But then he kissed his mom and she turned in to chocolate. John was not happy then. At the end, everything went back to normal but John did not eat chocolate all the time. He discovered there might be a such thing as too much chocolate.
Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar. In this story, there are thirty chapters. Chapter 19 is Mrs Zarvis. It is only a quarter page long!
