The Robot Book by Heather Brown. This book is a board book about robots. I like this book because it has some parts of a robot and it shows a little of the inside of a robot. It has one flap and moveable gears and arms and tools. It is fun to read and play with.
Duck and Goose Go to the Beach by Tad Hill. This book is about Duck and Goose having an adventure. In the beginning, Duck wanted to go away. Goose thought that he will not like it. Goose complained. I got to follow along their journey with my finger. (There was a line in the book to follow.) Then Duck and Goose saw a beach. Goose liked it. Duck wanted to go back home to the meadow. In the end, Duck and Goose went home. Goose wanted more adventures. Duck wanted to go to sleep!
Henry’s Freedom Box by Ellen Levine and Kadir Nelson. This story is about Henry, a man who was a slave. He mailed himself to Pennsylvania for freedom. I liked everything about it: it was a true story, the pictures were nice, and the words were well written.
Judy Moody and Stink: The Big, Bad Blackout by Megan McDonald (illustrated by Peter Reynolds). This chapter book is about a blackout. Judy and her little brother Stink have fun when the lights are out and they don’t have to go to school. I liked it because I liked the clever things in it, like the talking flashlight.
This is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen. In this book, a little fish steals a hat from a big fish, and he thinks he can get away with it. But in the end, the big fish gets it back! I liked everything about this story.
