I used to think that honesty means telling the truth, but now I know that honesty has many meanings. A few are integrity, sincerity, truthfulness, and choosing not to steal, or cheat in any way. This goes with 2 Nephi 9:34 (Wo unto the liar, for he shall be thrust down to hell.) and Exodus 20:15-16. (Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.)
The July 2013 New Era says, “Honesty and integrity test our character. They need a person always to do or say the right thing no matter the circumstances or what others may think.”
I have a testimony that the church is true. I say these things in the name of Jesus Crist, amen.
