In 1 Nephi 1:9-10, when Lehi had his vision of heaven, “he saw One descending out of the midst of heaven, and he beheld that his luster was above that of the sun at noon-day. And he also saw twelve others following him, and their brightness did exceed that of the stars in the firmament.” I think that that One was Jesus. One of the reasons I have for thinking that is that he was followed by twelve others. I think those twelve were the Twelve Apostles, since the footnote for ‘twelve’ is ‘Apostles’ in the Topical Guide, and it makes sense for them to be following Jesus.
