In 23:6-7, Nephi reads Isiah’s prophesy that “Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, every man’s heart shall melt”. What does that mean? “Howl ye” could be interpreted as “cry unto Him for forgiveness” and “for the day of the Lord is at hand” means that his Second Coming is coming soon. So the “it” in “it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.” means “the Second Coming” and “Almighty” means “God”, so God will send destruction before the Second Coming.
